Consultations

Consultations are required for all new patients that have never had acupuncture, patients seeking treatment for a condition that is not pain related (whether or not you've had acupuncture before) and for all patients that are seeking herbal medicine (whether new or follow up). Consultations are required for all new patients that have never had acupuncture, patients seeking treatment for a condition that is not pain related (whether or not you've had acupuncture before) and for all patients that are seeking herbal medicine (whether new or follow up). If you are coming in for an orthopedic/pain related ailment AND have done acupuncture in the past, you are welcome to skip the consultation and book your "1st Acupuncture Treatment".

Please note that payment for all consultations is required in advance when booking the appointment, even for patients with insurance. If we are able to bill your insurance, we will refund you the difference if your copay ends up being less than the $50 self-pay consultation fee once we receive the Explanation of Benefits.

For established patients and for new patients that have already had acupuncture in the past AND are coming in for a straight-forward musculoskeletal pain-related condition (examples are neck pain, low back pain, knee pain). If you've never had acupuncture before and/or if your condition is something other than musculoskeletal pain (examples are rheumatoid arthritis, anxiety, digestive issues, hormonal issues, etc.), then you need a one-on-one consult. Please book yourself a new patient consultation instead of acupuncture treatment (the doctor will help you book your treatment at the end of your consult if they feel acupuncture can help).

Dr. Michael Ferris OMD

Dr. Mike is originally from San Diego, CA, but lived most of his adult life in Taiwan where he worked as a freelance translator of Mandarin Chinese. He moved back to the States to attend his acupuncture and Oriental medicine program.

He specializes in orthopedics and pain management, but also deals frequently with men’s health and asthma cases.

When he’s not working, Mike enjoys reading, hiking, and woodworking. He lives in Summerlin with his wife, Dr. Rachel, and their son, Owen.

Dr. Rachel Kohl OMD

Dr. Rachel Kohl is our Director and owner. She has been treating patients for 14 years and specializes in orthopedic acupuncture for pain relief.

When Rachel isn’t busy here in the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Mike, son, Owen, and almost 2 year old puppy Penny (who you will probably meet when you come in - she’s our office dog and future therapy dog in training).

Dr. Karin Moeller OMD

Dr. Karin Moeller joined our practice in 2022 and has been a great addition to our team. She specializes in orthopedic acupuncture for pain relief and likes to integrate acupuncture, TCM herbs, bodywork techniques such as cupping, gua sha (scraping), and Tui Na (Chinese massage) to provide complete healthcare for her patients.

Dr. Leslie Pasternack has been part of our practice since 2019, bringing a compassionate, patient-centered approach to health and wellness. After spending time on the East Coast, she returned back to Las Vegas in July 2025 and is committed to helping her patients discover their own paths to optimal health. Outside the clinic, Dr. Leslie enjoys an active family life with her husband, Dan, cheering on their two children, Kai and Bear, who participate in team sports including basketball, baseball, softball and hockey.
